Carter stopped giving the part sizes, last year 1969. After that measurement with drill bits is needed to tell size.

They all look the same, they are not. Different sizes of steel bushings pressed into hollow steel screw, the idle down channel. Blue is idle air bleed, carter called the first air bleed the bypass. Black is fuel entry, Yellow is idle Economiser, some times called idle channel restriction. in cluster screw acts like a main jet for idle circuit. Red is where stamped number is in line with dots. The econ bushing can be cleaned or size checked from bottom. Do not go past fuel entry holes . Same for top air bleed, check from top. Bushings can be different sizes.

Recent testing shows that different venturi screws can make a difference. For example screw with .067 air bleed and .055 econ. restriction replaced with[ common to slant six], screw with .063 air bleed ,richer and bigger econ. restriction, .059 more mixture down stream. Seems to make things better.
