Could I get some help identifying this carb and how to adjust it

Looks like a Carter BBS 1 bbl. What would you like to adjust? I am not an expert on that carb, but there should be others on here who are.

I felt it was a 1 barrel

I have 2 adjustment screws I believe fast idle and curb idle

Need a guide to get it close

I got the timing nailed and all other systems working

I even thing I got the choke unstuck

Just trying to dial it in

http://www.slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=55801 Go to that page get bbs manual. The outside screw that buts up to big screw is curb idle. The inside screw that lines up with notched move able piece is fast idle choke on. That is 1970-71 carb, has hot idle valve, tin cover with 2 screws.

There should be a 3rd adjustment screw, for idle mixture down low by the throttle butterfly

Yes, it's a Carter BBS. They are not all alike, and parts store kit quality is pathetic these days.

Yours (in the pic) needs repair. The bowl vent stem washer has pulled out of the airhorn casting and needs to be staked back in place. Order a kit № 2151 from The Carburetor Shop in Missouri. Kits don't come with a proper float gauge any more, all you get is a useless strip-of-paper pretend ruler. That makes problems because setting the float height is a crucial part of rebuilding a carburetor (float wear is not likely, but the float must be checked to make sure gasoline hasn't got inside and made the float heavy). The Carburetor Shop sells gauges separately—the factory metal ones; don't know how much they charge. One workaround is to also buy an old-stock kit off eBay and rob the float gauge out of it. Another workaround is here.

I will buy the kit and start working on it.

I bought the truck in Feb 2020 pulled it out of a field and got it running over the winter.

It definitely needs a valve adjustment as well as a new valve cover gasket.
