Looking for a good option for a choke thermostat on my slant that was converted over to a super six 2 barrel manifold and a carter BBD.

I am utilizing the stock 1966 exhaust manifold.

I found a picture of this setup which is similar to my setup.

Does anyone know what the part number is for this choke thermostat style?

I got mine from eBay, from a seller called spark surplus.it was a stock part used with super 6: engines in their day
There are others (same stock replacement part) on eBay.

Save yourself a bunch of aggravation and put on a № 1232 Electric choke kit, which'll install easily, work better than the factory-type setup, and (unlike the factory item) it's adjustable.

Don, I looked under that seller and couldn't find it, also searched ebay and cant find one that is similar.

Dan, Thanks for the suggestion I bought one of those chokes when my 225 had the stock 1 barrel and holly 1920, I lost patience trying to dial it in and went back to the old coil spring type.

Anyway is there a way to adapt the electric choke for the 1 barrel by changing out the rod or is the setup completely different? I still have that one on my workbench it is kit number 1231.

I just bought something else from that seller 15 minutes ago.
It's possible they're outta stock on that choke unit
Just checked.. used "Mopar choke" as a search keyword.
About 2 pages in.

Thanks for taking the extra steps to get me the link. I think my description I used in the search bar was too specific and I didn't get any returns. It's hard to tell from the photo that this is the correct thermostat but at second glance it looks correct. If you used this how is it wired, just 12 volt to that wire? Since my old choke was non-powered I'd have to retrofit.

No, if you're using the factory-type setup you also need the choke controller, a widget that gets bolted to the cylinder head. Ignition-on +12v to the controller, then the choke wire connects to the controller.

But the electric choke kit I linked comes complete and works better. It's not hard to adjust properly; takes—at most—two or three dead-cold starts-and-adjustments to get it just right. Can't find it…? It's right here.

Thanks for the clarification, I was hoping to save a buck or two, but if I have to find the sensor and buy the thermostat I'll probably be up to $50 or beyond.

The rear of the two cylinder head bolt holes that face the sky, located between the manifolds and the valve cover, hanging over the manifolds, and with a good ground assured by removing paint and rust/dirt before installing the sensor.
