I was not sure exactly where to put this so here it is in the engine section. :D :D
Matt (Badvert65) has had a couple valve cover spacers made up and since Ryan was in need of one, I promised Matt I would give a review of the one he sent to us. It was needed because Ryan's 260 cu in engine has roller rockers that just hit the underside of the valve cover even with 2 gaskets on it.

I will just say this up front. This piece looks beautiful. It is almost too nice to be under a valve cover! It is aluminum and is 3/8" thick and with 2 gaskets should gain you about a half inch of clearance.The fit of this was almost perfect on my cylinder head. Just enough room in the holes for all the bolts to easily line up.
Plenty of coverage for the gasket to sit on. And the fit was perfect into the existing tabs on the old valve cover that I tested it against. All in all it was a super nice piece and I wouldn't change anything on it.

What price? I don't know if I need one, but I have plans for a "good" 225 and I have a set of roller rockers.

OK, these things ain't cheap, but for my hard-core racer .org friends I will do basically cost. These things cost $90 to be made and about $10 to ship, so if you want one, they are a hunnert bucks. When they go on sale in my Ebay store, they will be more, considering Ebay fees, etc. Probably looking at something in the $180 range, shipped.
We enjoy (?) racing the slant engine and I know it is not cheap so I am willing to do what I can to keep us all going.
If anyone knows of something else needed, I am open to suggestions.

Thanks Matt, I may need one of those spacers, and when you run one of them, you need 2 gaskets and longer bolts/studs correct?

Yes, you would need two gaskets for installation and longer bolts or studs. I have a valve cover stud kit for the slant (1 1/2" studs) that I am considering selling the spacer with.
I am still researching rubber valve cover gaskets. I can get them made with a rubber that has a heat rating of around 215*F. I am seeking to have these made but at a reasonable selling price. I don't think anyone wants to spend $50 on a valve cover gasket.
Ideally, I would like something that holds its shape, like a metal or fiber reinforced gasket.
The search goes on.

Don't know what your machining capabilities are but I have had an idea itching in my mind for some time. I have been wondering if someone could machine up a timing chain cover (aluminum) that would mount an oil pump driven by a drive adapter mounted to the end of the cam shaft. Since the big question mark hanging over our oil pumps for the last 25 years has never really ended I just think about other options. The timing cover is usually not blocked by belts or pulleys so another 2 inches of thickness here would not hurt anything.

I have been thinking about this since I did a head gasket on a hybrid honda accord about 2 months ago. The oil pump was mounted in the timing cover, it was about 4 inches across and 1.5 inches total thickness. Off course on a slant you would need external oil lines, but it might a good option for a high volume unit and the actual pump units could be sourced from any number of engines that use crankshaft snout mounted oil pumps.

I farm out my projects so this might be something 'CNCDude' might be able to try. I know he was working on a finned aluminum timing cover at one time.

People have made custom one-off Covers for the slant before (Ceej, Team Green, D. Muller?)

If you can create yourself an accurate solid Model then you can use an online machine shop to cut the part for you.

I did this with a Crank Position sensor that I made for Ruster.

It can be expensive to do these parts but that's how to get it done.

Or get yourself a Bridgeport and a whack load of Material and Time. :-)
