Is there an OE driveshaft that will drop-in for a factory 7.25 > 8.25 (donor is a 1974 Dart, V8) differential swap for my '68 Barracuda, /6 with a 904?

Also, any PNs for U-joint recommendations?

I will be using a carrier out of a '91 Jeep to bolt up a 3.23 R&P. Any recommendations, warnings, or well-wishes for this mash-up?

I realize the only option might be to cut the shaft; but thought I would throw this out there if there were any tricks I hadn't thought of. Many of you have probably already gone down this road...

...this channel doesn't seem to have much action, hope some of you are peeking in on it once in a while - thanks everyone!

Car Model:
'68 108"-wheelbase A-body (Valiant/Barracuda) with 904 trans and 8-3/4" rear axle takes a 48.89"-long driveshaft. F/M-body 4-door cars (Aspen/Volaré, Diplomat/Gran Fury/New Yorker Fifth Avenue) with 904 trans and 8-1/4" rear axle also take a 48.89"-long driveshaft. FPCs from years when some car lines could be had with both 8-1/4" and 8-3/4" rear axles indicate trivial to zero difference in driveshaft length between those two rear axles.

So: http://www.car-part.com or http://www.hollanderparts.com , search 1989 Dodge Diplomat, "rear driveshaft" (it's under the Transmission section on Hollanderparts). Don't fret about minor differences in length description, like 48.75" or 48-5/8" or 49".

Possibly one of These could work for you?

You still may have to get one shortened locally to your specifications.
