I need to clear out my garage if I ever am going to have a chance to get work done on my slant. So I am offering up the following:

1973 stock 225 904. I rebuilt this about 15 years ago for my brother's van. It performed well with likely less than 3k miles on the rebuild right up until the torque converter hub craked, which destryed the front pump seal, which allowed the transmission fluid to gush out all over the highway as the van was driven.

The trans is pulled and I tore it down for diagnosis. The clutches and steels and seals all look perfectly fine and serviceable. It obviously need a torque converter and front pump seal, but I would *almost* guarantee that it could be reassembled, the bands adjusted, and it could be put right back into service.

I was going to rob the guts to rebuild an A500 for my truck, but I don't have time for that. The 1973 904 currently has the pan off, the valve body off, and the bands out. This could be reassembled fairly quickly. I might still do that.

Due to the condition of the trans I will sell it as a core, but, again I suspect that a handy person could reassemble it in an afternoon and have a perfectly fine transmission.

$50/best offer

1968 318 engine 904 transmission case, front pump. This is totally a parts trans. No valve body, no tailshaft housing, the cluches and steels condition is unknown, I don't think it has any bands any more. I tore this down to build up a 1983 trans for my brother's van. It has lived in storage ever since. This is a core trans that needs a full rebuild and is missing major parts. No converter. If nobody take it I am taking it to the metal recycler.

Free/best offer

You must pick up either or both transmissions from my garage in Tacoma, WA
