Question for Carter BBD - vacuum piston assembly:

Should the tiny wire spring be in front or behind the metering rods? Also, do I have the metering rods properly postioned in the assembly? (Refer to "front" image)

Metring rods are ok. The tiny spring should go in the back of the rods.
See if this helps, although the quality of your pics is a lot better he he.

the springs go "behind" like your second picture. they just keep the rods from flopping around in the jets and the hangers.
