Has anyone used cliffords 260 cam. I'm currently using it in conjunctiowith thier maniflod and headers, but I'm a bit underwhelmed :? . I was expecting more. I'm about to build a new motor w, decked a ported head 8) but I'm wondering if I should go with a more agressive cam, like comp's 264? any Imput would be great.

Oh by the way, the motor is in a 64 dart, Rebuilt PB auto w/ shift kit and V8 clutches, and 7.25 rear w/ 2.76 gears :? (want to change that). The motor still has points and is running a holley 390, and the plugs a burnig pretty clean.

You really need to get away from that 2.76 gear, that is hurting you combo.
Did you degree-in the Clifford cam? That should run pertty strong with 4 degrees of advance on it.
Also check you distributor advance curve, a faster advance may help.

I really want to put some 323 gears in it. I'm currently working on modifying a spare distributor I have laying around an see what happens.

When I bought the cam I was afraid of going too radicle a cam with the stock stall converter. Now I'm wondering if I was too conservative?

I didn't degree the cam  I installed it straight up.
