Hi All,

I have screwed around with the sender on my 65 barracuda for a couple of months now. It wouldn't read above 1/2 a tank, ( this is after fixing the voltage regulator, and checking it against just grounding the sender wire, so I know it was the sender) The sender was rusty beyond belief and the little wiper/finger portion was pretty damaged.

Layson's says that 63-66 interchange for A bodies. Do later model pickup/senders fit? Rob suggested that other years might fit. Whatta ya think?

Thanks,

Greg

I have a '67-up sender (don't remember exactly which year) in my '64 Dart and it has worked fine. The pickup socks may be different, but those are easy to get.

I can always count on you to know the answers to some obscure problem that I am having. I am not worried about the sock, but the pickup is at the right height in the tank, and the circular part that mates with the tank itself is correct?

Thanks,

Greg

Circular part - yes. Height is, I believe, the same. I can't remember if I had to bend the tube a little or not - no big deal, eh?
