If it is a 72-93 truck GO BUY A NEW (reman) ONE!! My local Carquest sells 'em all day long for like $14-15. Brakes are way too important to mess with (as in botch--half a$$)! Don't screw around on this one! For that price, buy the pair so that everything works evenly and be sure to clean the slides where the caliper sets on and lube it up good w/Sil Glyde or caliper grease(NOT petroleum or anti seize)

If the caliper is not rusted you can probably put new rubber rings in. Take the bolts out and grab the caliper, let someone put some pressure on the brakes and you will see the piston comming out ( This is easier than using pliers, and you don't have the risk of scratching things). I would recomend doing both sides at once and you're ready to go for many more miles. ( You can use a grip wrench to close off the brakehose you dissassembled first!)

good luck!
