im looking at an intake on ebay and the guy says it needs a new egr valve or just a cover plate made to go over it. can this be done and how hard is it to make a cover plate or just replace the egr?

It is fastened on with two bolts or studs. No big deal. I saw that listing too and was confused as to why they even mentioned that. Makes me wonder is there is actually a different problem with the thing. Better ask the seller for some more pictures and better description.

I made my own cover out of a piece of 1/8" aluminum. I got lucky one side of it was already black. I used the intake as a guide to scribe the outline.
