found a 83 dodge pickup on some local online auctions, says it has a straight six, guessing its a slant, could it be a super six? will contact the owner tomorrow, but im curious tonight... also wondering if the exhaust manifold from my 74 valiant will fit on it, says it needs a new one, i know the super six was bigger, but a regular one will bolt up right? thanks

I believe '83 was the last year for a super six, so it could have it (it was optional on trucks and vans). Yes and yes to your other questions.

my 83 ram is a factory super six.but it has the pressed together intake manifold.make sure to check for leaks.

listing said it needed a new exhaust manifold, ive got goop for the manifolds as i just switched the manifolds off the 67 motor onto the 74, so far no problems with it

Yes, 83 was the last year for the factory super six, although they never called it that in 83.....I know as my old 83 that I sold a few months ago was and still is a "super six". I do know this.....it was real difficult finding a good carter to replace the leanburn holley someone put on it. But, after fining it, man did it run 1000% better!
