My comment was that I have "drilled-out" the lower ball joint mounting holes (9 inch drum brake)in order to bolt them onto the early K-H 4 piston Disc Braake spindles. I have never drill-out the control arms.
If you are swapping to the later single piston Discs, your lower control arms will work, you will need the correct (later) ball joints and upper A-Arms.
