So, I've got this weber, and I'm putting it on a 225 six.

What would be a good way to jet this carb (preferably for a more economical stand point).

I have found a jet set (32/36 Jet Kit 6cyl. DGV) that has the following jets:

Main: 150, 155, 160

Idle: 75, 80, 85, 90

Sec. Idle: 60, 65

Pump Jet: 60

Air Corrector: 155, 160, 180

I have this jet kit myself and have been playing with the jetting off and on for the past year. This is a good kit, but I have also purchased individual smaller jets as well. I tried to jet it as lean as possible without damaging anything. I have been able to get 22mpg on a very lean jetting with backing down the timing. I don't recommend doing this for an extended period of time (long story). The carb comes already jetted pretty close for a stock engine and exhaust. The best way to get good mileage with this carb is to keep your foot out of it to prevent the second barrel from opening up. I'm still jetted a little lean and getting 19mpg reliably and I get on it from time to time during my commute.

If I may ask, can you adjust the starting point of the secondary on these?

I have not tried to do that, and to be honest, don't want to. The second barrel starts to come open (quickly when it does) at about 2/3-3/4 full throttle. After driving with this carb for a while, you can tell when you are nearing the transition point to the second barrel.

I would think that it might take some doing to change when that second barrel opens. But then again, I am admittedly lacking with experience.
