A pre-'73 B-body spindle will bolt up to A-body control arms, if you first put in a '73 plus A-body top ball joint.

Did I get it right?

I don't know about the pre-73 B spindles. I've only recall references to the post-73 BFMJ spindles. To use those in an A-body (understanding the different opinions on that matter), you should use '73-up A-body A-arms which accept the larger balljoints.

No. You must use '73-'76 control arms or aftermarket tubular units, unless you want to do some very creative modifications to the pre-'72 control arms.

Lower ball joints fit in with no problem.

So the A-body uppers have to be '73 plus to make it work,

When did B-bodies start getting discs?

Thanks

WHOA! What did they do to me?

OK, the yard where I got some front end stuff pulls the parts for you. You can't even get into the yard yourself.

I think they must have given me B-body upper arms - a width of 11"? I hardly looked at them until I got home.

To get the bigger/newer ball joints I need '73 plus A-body UCA's? Is that how it goes? E-body won't work? I think maybe they broke a bolt trying to get a UCA out of an E-body and went after a B-body instead. The Mopar guy there is pretty good, but I think he's forgot a lot.

TIA
