does the bbd use the same jets as other carters?

Early BBDs and BBS's used same jets

Later BBDs used same jets as 4bbls...


Not sure of the cutoff year

One carter book specifies all post 1978 Carter's will swap with BBD's...It may actually be a bit earlier than that though I think .

I am not sure of the year either,

Just look for the BBD's that have the flat plate above the fuel inlet.

Those are the ones that will use the afb/avs jets.


If it has a rounded top above the fuel inlet with a lever for the acc. pump that is the early style that has the totally different jets.
