Just wondering how mutch do you rpm your slant´s??i have a 65 valiant whit an 225 and it rpm 6000 easy......i havent given it more cos i get the filing something wil come out of the engine and say hi and that wouldent be fun at al,am i pushing the limit??

For a stock engine, yes. I'd keep it below 5k for peace of mind. Not sure how you're getting a stock engine to make power up to 6k though; most taper off around 4500.

I am shifting mine at 6200 on nitrous with stock rods. I haven't killed a rod yet. :shock:

What about the rod bolts? Are they stock as well? If so, then I feel a lot better about skimping and not buying the ARP's when I did my rebuild.

everything is stock exept the carb.....its a edelbrock 500.whit the original 1bbl it did about 4500.....nothing else should be done on the engine!
