I'm replacing the rear pads on my 85' D100. Problem I ran into was there is no "nipple" on the new pads for my automatic slack adjust "cam". I looked in my hardware kit didn't see anything. Has anybody ran into this problem, if so what was the fix? I don't mind adjusting my brakes periodically but it would be nice if the auto slack adjusters worked.

Thanks

Pound out the old pin, put it in your new shoes. Put a socket under the pin when you drive it out (using a punch). Use a C clamp or vise to reinstall.

Thanks Eric, I'll give that a try.
