Me...I band saw the impeller pocket off of a scrap diecast pump, then "widdle & fiddle" the spacer to enclose the high volume impeller assembly installed in the shorter factory diecast pump housing.
A good amount of work to save 6 lbs but hey,... it's 6 lbs!

A high volume pump, with it's bigger impeller can get the pressure to 45-55 psi faster and keep it there at much lower RPMs, even when the engine is hot and the oil is thin.

I am very interested in this, is there a part number I can look for?

Note that there are 3 different impeller sizes out there, the factory's 5/8", the more common cast iron "5 hole' replacement pumps with a 7/8" impeller and the HV with the 1 inch thick impeller.
I see lots of "so called" HV pumps on ebag but most of them are the 7/8" units.

No, it actually has worked well. It's just a little pricey.
