Just wanted to update everyone--over 20 cams have been ordered, so make sure you get your order in if this is something you want. You do not need to pay until the cam is shipped, which will be several weeks from now since they needed to order more blanks due to overwhelming demand.

I'm glad this worked out so well for everyone.

MJ

How to Order:
----------------
1. Call Tom McGibbon 1 (800)-641-7920 ext. 327
YOU MUST MENTION SLANTSIX.ORG TO GET PRICING, and feel free to mention my name (Menko Johnson).
2. Have your VISA/MC Ready
3. Shipping Information

Orders will be filled on first come, first served basis, and nobody will be charged until the camshafts have been shipped. I thought this would be easier than me trying to get everyone's information and handling it (S-P-A-X).
Pulled this forward, it was getting hard to find.

I ordered a 270 this morning. Turns out Tom is a slanter too. He told me that he runs a 270 with a 4 bbl, 2200 stall converter in his wife's car. Nice guy.

Tom and I spoke for a while about developing a "better 244" type cam.
This would be a mild grind for a stock to near stock SL6 that is "intake limited".
I need to send him some stuff so we can take a look at some possible profile combos.
It is looking like it will be a "reverse dual pattern" cam (more aggressive on the intake side) and ground on a wide lobe center.

Hello:

I only just got back to Oregon again from having gone back to North Carolina. I saw this thread and thought I better finish something I've been working on for a year or so. Please look for a new thread on cams posted by me, I think it might have an impact on some of your desicions.

hurry karl hurry! you were just the guy I wanted to talk to about this. Course I just placed my order for a 280in/270ex setup. But there's always time ;) I have to do some overlap calculations tonight to finalize the lobe center

Thanks for setting this up MJ.

I put my order in yesterday for a cam, lifters, springs, and retainers. Tom was great to deal with; answered all my questions, asked a few of his own about my car, and we agreed on a 266int/254ex pattern with his recommendation of 110lsa.

Can't wait to get it together and fire it up.
