The Mopar Big Block fuel pump is a closer match but you still have to swap-in the "arm" from a SL6 fuel pump.

Use an electric one, its easier, just have it hooked up to an oil pressure switch to switch it on. I think CAT have them in that thread size, have used them before on 351C Ford and other brands of vehicles.

Aftermarket electric pumps can be noisy for an everyday driver.

Agreed, I will not put an electric pump on a car not originally so equipped without a good reason (such as a fuel injection retrofit). I do not find them "easier" or more convenient on street-driven carbureted cars. They are also usually noisy, and can be quite unsafe.

Unless you are running more than about 250HP (14s 1/4 miles in a 3000lb car), then the stock pump should be just fine. I have two cars in that range to prove it...

With having an electric fuel pump, its easier to hook up with an immobiliser to stop theft. If you mount an elect' fuel pump properly, it hardly makes a noise. I have one on my SV1 and you can't hear it.
The pump is a Pierberg roller cell type, not a Facet type.
If you have a crash, and the engine stalls, there's no oil pressure, so the pump don't go, that is what I meant with having it hooked up to a pressure switch, to make it work.
