Anyone know the answer to this one. Can't find the spec listed in the fsm.

I dropped the k frame and rebuilt everything on my 73 Duster. Putting it all back together but I cant find the torque spec for the four bolts that hold the k frame to the frame rails. They are a pretty big bolt so Iam thinking between 75 and 100 ft lbs at least but if someone knows the exact spec it would be appreciated.

Thanks

Brent

TIGHT.

never had a problem with them coming loose. and that is with a lot of enthusiastic use way and above a normal road car.

there probably is a specified torque somewhere, but the size of the bolts is "agricultural" to say the least,so old farming technique -" make sure them bolts is tight as you can get 'em son."
always worked for me.

regards,Rod :D

Check em again after you have driven the car a bit and things have settled.
This is good advice for most things in the supension.

Thanks for all the input

I guess I'll pull on them till my back gives out. Then it will be time for a beer.

Cheers

150 foot-pounds according to the Field Service Manual for my 1963 Dodge Dart GT.

An A body is an A body in this regard, I suspect, whether a 63 or a 73.

Hope this helps.
