Hello, I need some advice on replacing my stock distributor to electronic. I have a 1966 225/6. It has a super six setup with Dutra Duals and 2 1/4 dual exhaust. It is all stock other than the S/S & duals. Can anyone suggest a good setup and what other parts, electronically, need to be replaced with dist. I read when you convert you no longer use the ballast. Down the road I want to put a Erson cam custom grind for street use with automatic nothing wild. I would like to purchase new parts to hopefully avoid problems. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ed

If your distributor is in good shape, the easiest thing to do is put a pertronix ignition inside it (replacing the points)

I used an electronic distributor from a later Slant six and a HEI module from a GM car. I have been happy with the setup and I no longer use a ballast resistor. Also you can gap your plugs at .045
