I have a 400 cid sbc making 425 HP in my bogger.....nobody would want to live with it on the street. Add nitrous to make 500 in a Monte Carlo....?

I say get some 4.11 gears and race him 2 stoplights....if he wins he beat a six....if he loses....HA HA!

Argentina Slant Sixer is a pretty savvy guy. My whole life we've had folks come by the house and want to street race us. "My (cousin, uncle,brother in law, nephew, etc etc) has the fastest (insert Chevy model here) east of the Mississippi". I've heard this no kidding for 44 years.
When I joined the Air Force decades ago; I had a Ford Pinto with a 2 liter in it. It also had a Sig Erson cam, headers, an Offy intake and four BBl Holley, Mallory ignition, a home ported head, shift kit, etc. I met a guy at my first duty station who was also Mopar guy but was driving a 327 Impala. I told him I could beat him and he got real wound up. I took him to a 1/4 mile track and beat him heads up by about 20 car lengths. He freaked. I gave him about a 20 car handicap, and beat him again. He went back; got his car all tuned up (I didn't touch mine) and I still beat him heads up. Fun times. But hey; never let your ego or mouth outrun your dang car! You want to run the guy for a beer or diner; or if you're really flush, a hundred bucks, go for it. But never, ever put anything on a stupid race that you aren't willing to give up. That's why on pinks, all you ever see is ragged out chevies and ugly model mustangs.
