When I picked up my new ride last week, the owner told me the cam in it was either a "453" or "435" by Chrysler. I wasn't too concerned over specs since he went on to say they were in the pile of paperwork he provided at the time of sale. Yep, you guessed it...wasn't there. There is evidence he bought the camshaft for the 225 from a local Dodge dealership. Got any ideas?

I just found a part # hidden away: P4286571. Hope that helps.

That part # is for an oil pump high pressure relief spring for G, RG, B, RB and Hemi.

I guess he wasn't thorough as I thought...put the wrong part # on the wrong line in the spreadsheet. Thanks for the correction. He wrote P4120243 on the next line for the Oil Pump Hemi Spring on the same date. Could that be the missing #?

This is a good cam for a daily driver if you only want a bit more performance, it's not much bigger than the OEM '71-'80 cam

Thanks for the help from both of you! I know the cam isn't much "bigger" than stock, but I can really feel the difference this, and other mods (dutras, offy intake, 4 bbl) have made in my 63 Valiant. Its much different driving this car as compared to my bone stock 69 Valiant.

I like the MP P4120243 (244°) cam. Got one in my '62. True, this cam is a small step up from the '71-'80 stock cam, but your '69 hasn't got that cam, it's got the '65-'69 cam, which is a little smaller and shorter (but a little larger and longer than the '60-'64 cam). And, the cam in the '63 might've been carefully centrelined (degreed-in) upon installation, while the '69 cam was just thrown in at the factory. So I'm not surprised you'd detect a difference, even if both engines had the same carburetion.
