Did the slant six cars use a different water pump for cars with a/c like the v8 cars did? I know the 318 and 360 cars with air had another blade or two on the backside but am not sure about the /6 cars with ac???

I don't think that slant six cars with AC had a different water pump than those without AC, but I'm not positive.
Anybody else?

Same pump but some A/C cars had more blades or even clutch fans.

Most of the factory pumps used a stamped empeller. This looks like a cookie cutter. Fewer in production were pumps that used a cast iron closed empeller. This pump is more efficient and produces less cavitation.

Cast iron or phenolic-over-cast-iron-hub impeller through '67, stamped steel impeller '68-up. No systematic differences with/without air conditioning or heavy duty cooling. The only real such difference is that in 1960 (only), the 170 used a 3¼" diameter impeller while the 225 used a 3½" impeller. Starting in '61, all pumps used the 3½" impeller. I prefer the cast (iron or phenolic) impeller, too, but the stamped steel ones seem to work fine.
