I had a blast the whole weekend, but I won't say anything else until the official reports are posted, besides the fact that mosquitoes fed on me a ridiculous amount.
I also had a great time, got about 8 mosquito bites Saturday night and Sunday morning rode my long board down the track from the top of the shut down area. The video THOR took of my long board ride wasn't very impressive due to the limitations of my little Flip camera, but I might edit it down and put it on You Tube anyway.

Friday night I was one of those that lost to Stephanie. I cut a -.004 light to her .015. I ran closer to my dial in, but it mattered not at all with the red light.

Wayne failed to mention that on Saturday I cut a .265 light to his .899. Wayne ran .557 over his dial-in and I ran .109 under mine. I really need to quit beating myself. Having a clutch and manual trans adds too many variables. An automatic car is in the works.

Hey Wayne. Hello everybody. No, Im not in prison or anything cool like that. Just broke. But I WILL be coming to Redding. I had loads of fun last year and even did well in points overall. Things just started happening in twos this year and ate up all my available racing funds.
It looks like I will be bringing the 67 Dart. And probably some camping gear. I do have a new top on my car now so I shouldn't have problems with tech. I just need to get my new HD leaf springs and a couple of new U-joints.
See ya'll soon
Charlie///
Oh yea. Hey Doc if you are coming could you please bring that helmet again just in case the track gives me grief?

No problem on bringing the helmet...

You missed a good event and a good time in Medford, we had a nice turn-out of SL6 cars:

PJ was there with her great looking Demon

Image

She ran "the Kidd" in this race but over-all she was mached-up with tough racers all weekend.

Image

Lot's of great match-ups, here are a few I saw on Sunday:

Since Allen and I took a single car, I drove the points race on Saturday, Allen got the driving duty on Sunday, here he is taking the new Twiggy engine thru it's paces:

This shot shows the nice area around the Medford track:

The Erickson's brought 3 cars, counting Dave's so they had a chance to run each other:

So here is the final 2 racers on Saturday. (SL6 Points Race)

Ceej is our winner due to a redlight by Glen T.

Glen still wants the money!

Image

Sunday's Inliner race 2 "brand-X" cars that went down quickly to the "Buzzing Bees:

Image

The "other Rob" (Bobby) worked his way up the ladder, getting by some seasoned racers:

Image

The bad news... Glen T. also worked his way into the final...

Image

A long wait as the track get's ready:

Image

Image

Glen ran the numbers, Rob's car was slower... most likely from the waiting. Glen get's the Inliner win.

And the winner of the awaited "worst interior contest" was Stephaniebrite77... she won the prized "chrushed hubcap award" provided by Josh.

Here she is, showing-off her workmanship!

Way to go Steph!

Now, is that prize going to be like the Stanley Cup or the America's Cup and get passed on to the next winner year after year?
