I would say so plus better torque characteristics - this thing has a HUGE plenum -

We are changing that aspect slightly to allow each three runners equal access to mixture and to straighten out the flow from the manifold

The Idea is to keep to the weird look with better flow

Why I referred to the position of the carb was Zilla's question regarding air cleaner location

well instead of the side draft weber 6-pack, how about a carter 2bbl 6pack (3X 2bbls) ? 225 6pack has such a nice ring to it ...... :D

The longram Pattern - EFI bungs included are done - Unfortunately no pics yet - and I am of to Europe for two weeks......cant decide if I should look forward or not :?

The moment I am back I will post the pics and the long awaited pricing on the aircleaner/linkage set

Well just before the pattern was made up I went through prerequisite's

Injector bungs - DONE

Water heated Plenum -DONE - BTW this will be cast in with heater hose sized nipple's - stainless if You wondered and fins This box is about the same size in area as the stock manifold heat box and about one inch high

Linkage kit - DONE at the platers as we speak - having it chromed


This last change came about due to Dans' comment about the Ozzie bolt on type - I now have TWO patterns one original and one mod 8)

Gents I know most of you have sent your details - those who did not or who still wants to order please let me have your info.

As I stated earlier - a paypal account has been set up. you do not need to go through ebay to use this - if you have a paypal account that will do

Western union is also an option

"Ozzie bolt-on type"...? :shrug: I was talking about the U.S./Canada/rest-of-LHD-world rotating-rod throttle linkage used from '60-'66. I think rotating-rod arrangements might've been used in some form in Australia on the early cars (maybe up through the AP6 or the VC model) but I'm not certain...what'd you use for a pattern?

AAAARGGGGGHHHHHH CONFUSION!! :lol:

OK The Ozzie speed Hurricane has a BOLT-on water Heated arangement.

Mine is cast-in - truth be told it was easier to make than a seperate loose box :D AND I am scared of Air leaks or the possibility there of

NOW I am going to shock you!!!

I have three of the original manifolds 8)

The one with the most external nick's etc was wire cut (Wire abraded) along the casting line to separate the halves and get the core shape.

Only lost 0.4mm material for those who was wondering.

The cost of having the pattern made the usual way ~ R30000 - this way R8000

One is being used as an original pattern and one for mod . Cool heh?

did anyone else see the longrunner 2x2 on ebay a couple days ago? the title description also stated it was used on south african police cars. the seller location was australia and had zero previous sales.
