I have an 80 Volare that is bering converted to a 4 speed. It us a 1 bbl and I have acquired a Siper Six setup (one aluminum and one cast iron intake) I am also adding MOPAR performance 6-1 Headers. For now I am leaving the stock cam.
Im wondering if is is worth selling off the 2 Super six setups and going with one of the Aussie performance 4 barrell setups? I have had good luck with Edelbrock carbs in the past but a 500 cfm will be too big, the 390 may be too much for the stock setup even with headers. What do you think?

For right now I would keep the super 6. If later on you want to take the engine down for mods then I would go 4bbl.

The Super 6 is good far beyond what is generally assumed.

My car has a 5 speed , 3.55 gears . 9.6 compression , big valves and an Erson 280 cam. The BBD keeps up until about 4500 rpm and starts to fall off. However the low end torque is a ton better than any too big, bogging 4 barrel .

The driveability of the BBD on a semi hot street car makes it my choice.
