Just like the title says,I need a tank for my 60 Val and was wondering if anyone has had any luck using a different year tank as 60-61 tanks are unique and not reproduced. My current tank is not only scummy and rusty on the inside but has been dented pretty badI have even considered a fuel cell but really dont want to go that route.
Is a 63 tank close enough to fit or will it not fit due to the non typical shape of the 60-61 trunk floor?
Has anyone else had this problem and what was your solution?
As always any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
HyperValiant

Ooohboy. That is a toughie...I think this topic has come up before.

Yep, it's over here.

It'd be nice if someone would repro the '60-'61 and/or '62 tanks. As it stands, an exotic replacement such as a custom fuel cell might be about the only way to have a new one...

Awww, what's wrong with air shocks, leaf spring extension shackles, and a 55 gallon drum?

Thanks for the replys ,I may try to straighten the dent and line the tank.
I would really hate to modify the trunk floor but I may have to and run a 63 tank.Once again ,thanks for the replys.
