Is this the only part that differentiates a stock distributor from an electronic? I found one on eBay and if all I have to do is swap it into the stock distributor, I'll take it.

It would be nice BUT, don't think you ever looked at an electronic distributor. Go to the library and look in the mopar section of a motors , Chilton or one of the rest of the auto repair books.

That NOS distributor looks good, I got my distributor at wrecking yard, paid $35 for all you can pack out. So got 2 or 3 plus a lot of other things.
The electronic has a control box it will have 4 or 5 wires on a plug that is held in place with a screw. Beter yet look in the articles section for ignition up grades should answer a lot of you questions before you have to ask them.
Also the advance rates are controled by 2 springs under the plate, and the total advance is controled by the length of the two slots in the plate there should be a number stamped on the plate if it is 15 the total advance is 30 degrees.
Get back to me if you have more questions.
