Anyone have the bearing number or part number for the input shaft bearing on an 833 OD tranny?

The heavy bearings are 308's, and I prefer them fore and aft.

I saw their kit but they don't list the specific bearing number. The heavy bearings are 308's, and I prefer them fore and aft.

The OD has a larger bearing, the 308 bearing is for the regular 4-spd.

The early input bearings are 307... some of the late 23 spliners can be a 308... the last A-833OD I did was a 308-L...the Hemi boxes use a 308 if I remember right...

Bingo. IIRC the output shaft had to have a 308 on OD units as well, right?

JoPapa,

Yes, 308 on output, and replace to a 308 on input for max strength. Unsure what Forcefed meant abut the 308 not being the strong bearing, because the 308 is what is in the hemi power case as bearing for max strength. A 308 is a 308, whether it has an L on it or not. One thing to check is to be sure the steel clip that holds the bearing in the front is proper thickness to go into the slot along with the bearing. I had to mill a clip once to make a few thousandths thinner.
