Hi Guys - while I am waiting for the cylinder head - the porting is taking a while - I am sprucing up my engine bay - powder coating and so on - question is - for authenticity the 4bbl snorkel aircleaner - as we had them here - is supposed to be painted black - so now there is this HUGE black heat absorbing area right over the exhaust manifolds - either a heat shield or have the cleaner powder coated bright white?

What do you think?

Is that the stock air cleaner? Can you turn it 180 degrees? Can you install a fresh air intake?

How about orange? That shouldn't be a heat soak color.

Thats pretty cool, I didn't know they made a factory 4 barrel besides the hyper pack. You could paint the bottom of the lower section silver and leave the side black so it looks stock. Hmm I might try that with mine, its due for some paint.
