I have a 71 Duster that has been converted to front disc brakes (5x4.5 bolt circle) and was told that it was from a 73 Duster. How can I verify this and what parts would have been changed out for the conversion (steering knuckle, control arms, brake hoses, etc)? Thanks.

That would make sense. The older than 73 disc were K-H 4 piston disc with the small 4" bolt pattern SBP. 73-76 A body are all pretty much interchangeable and were LBP 4.5.

So when ordering ball joints, control arm bushings, pads, etc. I should order them for a 73 to 76 A body?

If your stuff is from a 73 Duster, order for 73-76 A body

Your upper control arms were changed, but the upper control arm bushings are the same for all years. Upper Ball joints are larger for 73-76.

Your spindles were changed, so the lower ball joints are larger and from 73-76.

Tie rod ends are same for all A bodies, if I'm not mistaken. You can upgrade easily to the larger HD style 11/16" instead of 9/16" tie rod ends and sleeves. The part #'s are:
MOOG
ES440S SLEEVE x 2
ES352R TIE ROD x 2
ES355RL TIE ROD x 2

Lower Control arm bushings are the same all years.

Strut rod bushings: there are a few different types, I would just order for '71 since that is the K frame you have. Maybe someone else can correct me on this or any other mistake I have made here. There is a lot of information on here, so poke around. Good luck with the rebuild. I recommend RockAuto.com for parts, they have good prices.

Rotors, Pads, Calipers, hoses, are all late model 73-76 if the swap was done correctly. Ditto for the master cylinder and proportioning valve.
