------------------
Hi everyone,

As you know, several people on this list, namely SlantSixDan, have tried for years to get vendors like Imperial interested in making poly engine mounts for the early A body slant six cars. It has never materialized, however, the spool mounts for '73+ cars created by Johnny at Polybushings.com have been well received which spurred us to contact Johnny and see what it would take to have him make some for the early 62-66 cars.

The cars these mounts would be designed for are:
US & Canadian Cars:
'62 Dodge Lancer
'62-'66 Plymouth Valiant
'63-'66 Dodge Dart
'64-'66 Plymouth Barracuda

Australian cars:
S, AP5, AP6, and VC Valiants

Now for the group buy information. Johnny has committed to building these mounts IF we get a minimum of 15 sets ordered. At that small size run, the price will be around $100 per set. If we had 25 sets, the price would decrease by about 10%

Since these mounts are not currently in production, each person will be asked for a $20 deposit as a good faith measure to demonstrate that there is a large enough group of committed buyers for these mounts.

I know the price is higher than many people are used to paying for mounts, but these poly mounts would likely never need to be replaced and would be far better than the rubber ones currently available and much easier on your dental work than those solid ones some of you are running out there =)

We are also exploring seeing if other vendors would like to carry these, so if you can think of someone who would perhaps like to resell these, a higher volume order could take the price down.

So..if you're interested in these, please reply below and I will start putting together a list. Again these are poly mounts for the 62-66 cars. If you have a 60-61 car, just swap that K member out and you're golden.

Thanks guys, let me know if you have any questions!

MJ[/b]

I'd be in for 1 set. I see Fanie from South Africa is also spreading the word (apparently I'm on the SA mailing list).

Great guys, that's 7 sets for sure already, we're half way there. I'll try and post on FABO tomorrow, unless someone beats me to it.

Ed are you wanting a set?

Very cool, put me on the list for a set. If there's a choice of colors, my preference is basic black.

Hey slantsixlancer!

We're working on getting enough folks to commit to purchase right now. Once we get to 15, Menko will outline how we make our deposits.

This list started yesterday. We only have a few more to go to make the minimum order of 15. If it bumps up to 25, we may get a price break!

Where are you located? I'm in the thriving metropolis of Halsey!

CJ
