I have Megasquirt 'n Spark extra running an EDIS coil pack on my Barracuda now. I will do the fuel injection next.

At least for ignition, this isn't a hard modification to do. The hardest part was getting the 36-1 wheel mounted ( and that turned out to be easier than I thought), and welding up a VR sensor bracket.

I am thinking of trying the EDIS also. Where did you mount the 36-1 wheel? In front or in back of the pulley? Do you have a damper on the crank?
I assume the EDIS was from a 4.0 V6. Can you adapt the wheel from the 4.0 or or do you have to use an aftermarket wheel? {i was wondereing if the 4.0 was an even fire motor or an odd-fire}
How about the coil packs? how many
[sorry bout all the questions]

So, I used a 4.0 V6 EDIS box, as you predicted. I have a 1965 slant, with two crank pulleys. I removed the front pulley, as I wasn't using it anyway, and mounted the metal 36-1 wheel to the rear pulley.

There are a bunch of places that make those wheels, (DIYAutotune being one). You need to drill out the center hole to fit the crank bolt. I used the existing 3 bolts that hole the front pulley to the back pulley to locate and mount the wheel correctly.

Mount fabbing-- :shock:
You need a mig welder. I cut up a few pieces of metal, and used the two oil pan bolts more or less at the bottom of the motor, and built a U shaped bracket that went to the front of the motor.

Coil packs- Just use the one coil pack on the 4.0 donor.
Both motors are even fire motors. You just need to translate the firing order from the ford to your slant, and it works.

Cars been running great, had no questions about anything. I haven't done the Ford ignition system yet, but we are planning for the next motor. In fact with all the new casting we've been doing I really want to get rid of the distributor and make very basic light block.
