Hi I posted in June, putting together a 225 in a Coronet 440. Then I got hit by a car on my motorcycle, after hospital and recovery I'm back at it!
I suffered 2 broken wrists and a broken pelvis... lost some flexibility in the hands.

I can't remember wich way the oil slinger faces? I had the motor rebuilt after getting good advice from here and Doug D. My sister works for Franklin auto in Redding, Mark did a beautifull job, unleaded seats new valves, 10 over on the pistons! Putting it all back together now. Once I get the head on and valve train installed, what the the best process for priming, start-up and break in? Its been years!
thanks Vic

Slinger faces with the outside towards the timing cover. If you try to put it on the other way it will rub on the chain.

I was wondering what happened to you and your project...
It is good to hear that you are healing and that the project did not go by the "way-side".
Did the head get some port clean-up work while it was apart?
Keep asking detailed questions, work on it "bit-by-bit" and you will have this car going in no time!

If you want me to take a quick look at the head prior to install, send me a PM so we can schedule something.
What do you have for an oil pump??
