Hi,

I bought a tach for my Charger. It says it's calibrated for an eight cylinder, and modifying it will void the warranty.

Will it work with the slant?

Thanks!

John D

Depends on mfg of tach, some are set up for 8 cyl but have instructions on how to set up for 4 or 6 cyl.

If there aren't switches or a wire loop to cut to change the number of cylinders the tachometer will read properly then you need a different tach.

Thanks for the info guys.

I got my tach from chargerspecialties.com. I'll call them on Monday to figure out how I can get it to work. They manufacture them so I hope they can tell me how to modify it, or make me one that will work.

I'm just glad that I realized it might not work before I put the cluster back together! Putting it back in the car and having to pull it again wouldn't have been fun.

Thanks again,

John D

Hi Guys,

Talked to the manufacturer, and he said there is an adjustment on there, but I would need another tach to confirm the new setting.

I mailed it out to him to re-calibrate it. Seemed easier.

Thanks again,

John D
