Hi y'all, the end of my antenna cable has split and is now loose, and I can't pull in any radio stations hardly because of it. I tried pulling the whole end piece apart with a pliers and redoing the end but the single wire in the middle only slides back into the very end of the plug without having a way to solidly hold it there. Now I'm only pulling in about one station at a time. Is there any place I could buy new ends to completely remake the end or is there something I could buy to splice a new end from a different vehicle in? Possibly opening up the ability to use different radios from different makes of cars? (I kind of miss having my tunes)

The antenna cable end is a universal type. Probably best to go ahead and put in a new antenna.

For financial reasons I would like to just fix the end on the co-ax cable I have. Is there anywhere I could find splices or new ends to rebuild the plug in?

You might try radio shack or a electronics store. If its standard cable.

Would a splice from tv coax cable work on this type of cable? or is it completely different?

It will work if put in properly. Still better to replace the antenna coax and all.

TV cable is not even close to the Antenna cable. I know they "look alike" but the cables impedance is very different. Radio Shack use to sell the end piece-it is called a Motorola plug (male). You can get it off of almost any car built- with more wire attached so it will be easy to splice it.
