Hi there

Couple of questions:

1. What is the paint code for the red-orangy 170ci engine paint and where to get/order?

2. Would you recommend an electric fuel pump or stay with the original mech pump? The engine is stock standard 170ci and is currently using "Mitsubishi" electric "tick-tick" fuel pump (the mech pump is not working).

Thanx for all the help guys.

Cheers

I use mechanical pumps... mostly for noise control and reliability.
For high power applications, I will add an electric "pusher" pump, back at the tank, the plumb a second fuel line up to the carb. or N2O system. The electric pump gets turned-on when extra fuel is needed.

Got this reply from Dupli-color:

"Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately we do not have any distribution
of our products outside of North America. I apologize I could not help you
with this request.

There are two ways to get the Dupli-Color paint outside the USA...
1. Have a SL6er ship it to you
2. Obtain a color chip and have it mixed locally.

I have found that VHT engine enamel in bright red color (SP121) is a pretty good match to Chryslers red .
see if that brand is available where you are.

VHT is good paint. We use the ceramic version on headers, intakes and engines.
