Yes, all passenger cars and light trucks with 2bbl carbs are considered to be Super Sixes. They were introduced for the 1978 model year.

Toot that horn... it's probably the most viewed article on the site :)

That's too bad. There are some VERY informative and much more edifying articles than that one. Actually, I don't know why my name is still on it. Doc has done extensive editing and upgrading to it. I may have helped do the initial draft, but he has taken it to a much higher level than I ever did.

Anyway, it still answers most all of the questions about a Super Six upgrade. The only things I would change would be to add some discussion of adding a Super Six to a van and to add a recommendation that people try and use cable style kickdown linkages since the factory correct ones are getting scarce. A discussion of how to make your own two barrel intake would also be helpful.

Yep, discussing a Lokar and Bouchillon kickdown would be great, maybe even a link on how to set them up properly. Also some automatic choke options. It's nice to have everything you need on one page. Oh yeah, can't forget the part #'s of manifold hardware :)

Toot! Toot! The Reed Express is passing through!
Excellent article, but I second the recommendation on the Aussie gaskets. They are real problem solvers!
