I'm going to send my Holley 1945 out to a local carb shop for rebuild.

Without direction from me to the contrary, they are going to jet it per original specs.

Inasmuch as it is a lean-burn, I'm guessing that the original main jet is undersized, and the power valve oversized.

Since it's a van, my only goals are torque and fuel economy.

What direction should I give the shop re. jetting?

(lean burn is intact, btw, but is getting swapped for HEI in a few years when it is eligible for Q plates. I'm keeping the 1945 until the next time it needs a rebuild--it has the appropriate port for a vac-advance distributor-- then hopefully, switching to a 1920.)
