Josh, when you get yours I would be interested in how the clutch cross shaft attaches. I am using an Aspen bellhousing now with my A833OD and it works fine but I have always been reluctant to drop the clutch at 5000 which is necessary to get the good 60' times. If I had an SFI bellhousing I would be more brave, I have an old 9 1/4" Weber clutch with an nodular pressure ring that I could dig out. It's is pretty unbelievable that someone would go to the trouble of making a piece like this at this time.

I'll make sure to take a picture of the cross shaft area when the bellhousing arrives.

I also have a 9 1/4" Weber clutch cover, but I can't tell if it has a nodular pressure plate or not. I hope so. I'm going to use it in my Valiant street car. The Bonneville Barracuda will use a Spec clutch.

With the economy the way it is it seems people/companies are willing to do more work to keep afloat. Something that would have likely never happened in 2007 is suddenly possible. Being a little bit hungry may be a good thing.

This one fits the Chrysler 3 and 4-speeds. RM-7072 is the part number.

From e-mail...

Joshua,

We now have this part number set up in our system and have inventory available.

Interesting. I don't see how the (supposedly) exchangable adapter plate attaches to the bell.

I am interested in mounting a T56, T5, or GM (gulp) 46LE or whatever their 4spd auto is called.

Thanks,

Lou

They weld a different transmission-side plate to the body of the bell.

Ahh, thanks! That is a nice and strong (if less flexible) way to do it.

Assumedly any trans pattern can be ordered then...

Did you ever find out why the hole size in the bell is so big and not like any of Mopars transmissions?

Because someone sent Ross at Quicktime a bellhousing with a big hole in it.

Isn't it just the OD 833 bearing retainer size??

Oh, I see, it looks like they sent you an adapter ring for your trans.

Gentlemen, I ordered one (of two left from the first run) yesterday. No comment was made regarding the time of another run.
