I have a friend with a 72 duster that has the small bolt pattern kelsey hayes disc brakes is there any way to change the hub and rotors so he can go with big bolt pattern? Or is he going to have to switch out to the 73 and later spindle, hub, disc, rotor and calipers?

The spindle and everything attached including the lower ball joints has to be swapped for the '73+ parts.

You may be able to use a Kelsey Ford hub and rotor with Mopar bearings.

Best way is to go 73 up......

See here.

(also here, but that sounds like a more costly solution)

Thanks every one for your help. As always very usefull. I think I have my friend talked in to keeping his small bolt pattern. The reason he wanted to change was because he thought he wanted to go with disc brakes in the rear and I talked him out of that and in to keeping his 10 drums.

Keep in mind, though, that there IS a small-bolt pattern disc brake option out back if he has the 8 3/4" rear end. About $600. Talk to Cass:
