I'm a newbie to slant six motors and overall mechanic. I've followed alot of recommendations from this site and have done some work on my slant six. So I pulled the valve cover off of my 1986 dodge d100 and was ready to do a valve adjustment and to my surprise I couldnt find an adjustment screw or bolt to adjust my valves. Am I missing something or are these valves non adjusting?

You have an hydraulic valve train. The earlier engines are mechanical.

Welcome on the board. Slant-6 engines starting in 1981 had hydraulic, non-adjustable valvetrains.

Cool thanks! I had rough idle and it shuts off every once and a while. So i guess my next move is to look at the carb?

If I were you, my next move would be to determine f the vehicle had one of the notorious "lean-burn" systems on it. The Lean Burn systems used by Chrysler in the 80s are notoriously failure prone.
