I've got a 65 833 mated to a slant. Just picked up an OD833 and bellhousing without shifter rods/swivels, etc. The cases look the same; are the shifter rods the same as well?

only differentance is the third/forth lever on trans installed flipped so it shifts 3rd is 4th and 4th is od

Just installed the A833 rods into an overdrive trans. We had to lengthen the third/fourth rod one inch to make it work correctly.
