Just the Wesco 3 point seat belt and their $10 mounting kit. That has the floor L bracket and large washers, bolts and the insert that goes up inside the post for the top mount. About $85 with shipping.

The kit said to drill a second hole below the hole you have to drill for the mounting bolt to go through. It would have been about an 1 1/4 if I remember correctly. This is where they said to install the reinforcement plate through. It would be covered by the seat belt assembly but I did not like the idea of another hole there. Plus I though it would weaken that area substantially. So I drilled the hole for the anchor bolt and then drilled the 2, 1/8" in holes where the rivets go. I then took a wire and fished it down through the top 1/8" hole and out the bottom. I ran the wire through the reinforcement plate and pulled it back up to the hole for the mounting bolt. Screw in the bolt, and that holds it in the post, and then take the wire off and put in the 2 rivets. Voila you now have a nice 3 point seat belt.

I did have my window mechanism's removed but I still think you have room to get that plate up through the post.

Those backing plates do fit up into the B post without to much trouble when the windows are installed. I installed a Juliano kit which is similar to this one. I also bolted them in instead using rivets.

I got all my new carb stuff hooked up, and made new some new brackets. I reinstalled the wire loom that it seems I have removed 25 times. I also took care of the ground back at the rear tail lights and now they are working.

I also installed something top secret. Savvy racers will recognize it. Only 2 of them exist. And I think Rob has the other one.

Waiting for Lou to send me a front E-brake cable, and hopefully get that all fabbed up. I am running both cables up the left side with a straight shot at the front cable. Picked up a new long truck cable on E Bay to allow me to do this for about $9. All the bracket for the rear cables were cut off when I put in the inboard spring kit anyhow, so I am just putting them where I want them. Pictures to folow of the E-Brake

I looked at the Calendar and it looks like I may try and do a Test & Tune on
April 7th at Mason Dixon. probably 2 or 3 Covalts and we'd love to have anyone else local that can come out. I'll post over in the event calendar also.

The Bamboozler was a Ron parker invention to get at Slantzilla if I remember correctly. The proper term was a "bagel bamboozler" I think, and it may have been a special term for a turbo. All in good fun.

No time for pictures, but I got my front half of my leaf springs clamped, installed a new overflow bottle, and got the Emergency brake cables run to where I want them. I need to make a small bracket for the E-brake front cable and hook it up and it should be good to go. Also got some header collectors and bolted them on so the flanges aren't vibrating!

We are headed out to Mason Dixon on Saturday morning for some initial runs. I don't have the spool in yet and I only have narrow street tires but we will see how it does. I'm sure traction will be a problem. Car should run 15's I would hope. We shall see.

At the present time I am just happy to have it running. Mason Dixon 2009 is when I started working on this car again. 3 years went pretty fast and I want to thank everyone on this site for their encouragement to get it done. It has been a lot of work and a lot of fun. Hopefully from here on out isn't quite as labor intensive, and is a lot more fun.

Thanks again!! See ya Saturday!!!
