Went to PRP - Made 2 runs - First run was easy a 12.85 - Just wanted to make sure nothing broke or flew off the car.

Then I tried another run all out 12.67 - Pretty Disappointing.. Then Got rained out... I think the Converter is it.. The one that I put a little crack in the pump drive last month (when the driveshaft failed and Wiped out the Bellhousing) had a lot more punch to the 60' than this one..

At least I can race now even if it is slower than 12.40...

For what it's worth the 12.67 Did Match some of my best times at Pittsburgh From last year..

Now I need to get to a lower / faster track with better air. Like Clay city or Mason Dixon.

Greg

Yep Greg, You done great! I wish I had mine all back together. If I can get my back to cooperate!! Look forward to seeing run again. As a matter of fact, I'm still willing to run down the track beside you!!!

No Just 3 and 3 - I have to get some v8 drums to run the extra discs THe slant 904 drums have the groove for the retaining ring too far down in the drum to correctly run the extra clutches / steels / pressure plates and maintain the correct clearances. - Of couse I am new to the Auto trans builds I could be wrong.

- I tried running 4 in the front drum last time but the clearences were a little goofy and i charred a few discs..

I don't remember any longer but one of the drums uses a thinner clutchs. You could have put those in until you find a V8 drum. I've heard of guys putting in 6 or 7 clutches this way.
