Are the old TRW 12xx pistons 1.740 or 1.760 compression height? Thinking about using the 1.740 height pistons instead.
What camshaft spec. should I look at when considering the compression height, I know there is a chart when considering dynamic comp. ratio.

The ones I have on the bench, measure 1.754
Why would you want to use a 1.740 piston? That will lower the CR.

I had cc'd the heads and they will be equalized to 51.5 (Previous build) and from a stand point of longevity, the lower toward the pin, the less scuffing.
Thats why I was interested in learning what cam spec. to seek out, if I could urk out a little performance on that end.
Street performance for this one (225) but on my 170 I want some rpm and maybe turbo so am thinking same for pistons but lower CR with that so I can run higher boost with more cylinder volume.
