Try rockauto.com I don't think they ever were higher then any place local. Although, quality wise you're probably better off getting an original used one from a wrecking yard. The only thing that typically goes wrong with them are the solenoid contacts that wear and those are available - Dan had a post that detailed the numbers and pictures.

The black part of the housing just doesn't look right... For the price its going for you really otta look at a local yard, they should be plentiful.

I bought one at the wrecking yard for 35. It turned out to be a very recent genuine chrysler rebuilt unit.

Works great. It cranks much stronger than the original (faster), and is nowhere near as loud.

The parts to rebuilt it are like 12 bucks, and take 5 minutes. Save your money and have an excuse to go to the wrecking yard. Win-win!
